Thinking Otherwise is an independent publication launched in September 2025 by Ray Aldred, a PhD student in Philosophy and a Senior Data Analyst.

Ray is interested in neuroethics, AI, First Peoples’ philosophy, love, sexuality, data, and disability. A member of the Métis Nation of Alberta and a descendant of the Historic Red River Métis Nation, Ray also has Cree kinship ties through his father, who is a member of the Swan River Band in Treaty 8 Territory.
